What is Novo?

Novo offers a better business banking experience through its checking account and debit card solutions that use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to help businesses better understand their finances. By offering these products with the ability to connect other financial accounts, Novo provides real-life recommendations based on your comprehensive financial picture.

Unlike accountants, Novo is always working in the background keeping everything in check.

Who can use Novo?

Novo can support almost any business operating in the US. As long as the owner has a social security number they are able to open a Novo Account.

How much does it cost?

Novo is currently being offered to small businesses for free.

How does Novo help my business?

Novo provides easy-to-use small businesses banking tools. All from within the Novo app, you can link your accounts, pay your bills, process ACH transfers, cancel recurring subscriptions, transfer money between your accounts, and, best of all, chat with your virtual CFO, Claire.

Who is Claire?

Claire is an AI-powered interactive financial assistant that lives on your mobile device.

Claire’s core functionality lies in 2 areas, Active Engagement and Passive Financial Guidance. Through active engagement users chat with Claire like chatting to a friend to get quick and easy financial insights. Claire also provides notifications to help users understand and analyze their finances, even when they aren’t looking.

What platforms can I use Novo on?

Initially, your Novo account will only operate from your mobile phone. We plan to launch our web platform in the coming months.

How do I apply for a Novo account?

Does Novo provide lending services?

Currently we do not provide lending services, but we are always looking to expand our products.

What is the difference between Novo and Mint?

The main difference is that Novo is partnered with an FDIC-insured bank giving small businesses the ability to open up a business bank account that can be used to make payments, transfer money, and hold deposits.

Can my business have multiple users on a Novo account?

Yes, you can connect multiple users on the same account.

Does Novo offer interest bearing accounts?

We currently do not offer interest bearing accounts, but may in the future.

Do I get a checkbook?

With our system, checkbooks are a thing of the past. You can use free ACH transfers to complete necessary transactions, and if you really want to issue a physical check, we will do the processing and send the check for you.

How do I deposit cash if you have no physical locations?

You can use cash to purchase a money order from USPS and then use our remote check deposit feature to deposit the check into your Novo checking account.

Can I use an ATM with a Novo Debit Card?

Yes, you can use any ATM in the world.

How do I receive statements?

By default, your statements will be sent electronically. But, if you would rather have paper statements we could facilitate that as well.

How secure is my money?

Novo uses industry standard, bank-level encryption to safely secure your money.

Is my account insured by the FDIC?

Yes, your money is insured up to the FDIC maximum, $250,000.

Is Novo available outside the US?

Sorry, we only serve US businesses operating in the US. Account holders are required to provide their Social Security Number. We are working hard to provide Novo to the rest of the international market.
